Holiday Dinner:
With this class we will be celebrating the rich traditions through food! In this hands-on workshop, participants will prepare a delicious holiday meal featuring favorites from different celebrations. Learn to make classics like roast turkey with stuffing and cranberry sauce, creamy mashed potatoes, latkes with applesauce, brisket, kugel, and a Christmas-inspired glazed ham. We'll also bake holiday cookies for a sweet finish. This class welcomes all skill levels and encourages cultural sharing and community bonding. As we cook and share stories, you'll learn helpful techniques and seasonal tips to recreate these dishes at home. The evening concludes with a shared meal, bringing everyone together in the true spirit of the holidays. Bring your apron, appetite, and holiday cheer—ingredients and good company will be provided.
For your safety:
- Wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in and cover your legs
- Closed-toe shoes are mandatory
- Long hair should be pulled back. Hats, bandanas, or other head coverings are encouraged.
- Alert staff if you have any allergies. HCST is a nut-free facility but participants with allergies to shellfish, soy, gluten, dairy, etc. should check with their doctor before starting. If you do have allergies, you are required to bring your Epi-Pen.
