REGISTRATION INFORMATION
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS- All Adult Vocational Course Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older (>18) Admission
- Have a High School Diploma/Transcript or Equivalent – Required upon registration
- Photo ID (preferably a license) – Required upon registration
- Capable of performing the course work and meet prerequisite requirements
- Meet the course financial obligation.
TUITION & FEES
All courses are tuition-based. Each course has the required fee listed with the course description in the catalog. All fees must be paid in full at the time of registration by credit card only. If another agency or employer is paying your tuition, please add their information as you go to check out the courses in your cart. Select INVOICE as your payment option. You will need to provide their contact information in order to complete registration
FREE TRAINING ELIGIBILITY
Check with your local One-Stop Career Center to see if you are eligible for free training or a tuition waiver. If eligible, complete registration and select "INVOICE" when you are checking out your cart. You must provide the information of the agency paying your tuition upon checking out. REFUND POLICY- Onsite Courses/Virtual-Online Courses
Prior to and after the first scheduled class meeting, you may request a tuition refund in accordance with the HCST Board of Education Policy. There will be no refunds after the first night of class. (A $15 registration fee will be deducted from refunds). Students must notify the Hudson Technical Office via email at [email protected] to initiate the refund process. Check refunds will take 6-8 weeks to process. HCST will not be held responsible for snow days. Canceled classes will be rescheduled accordingly.
COURSE CANCELLATION
Courses may be canceled by HCST or merged, if enrollment does not meet economical operation requirements. Registered students who cannot be accommodated, may elect to transfer to another course or receive a full refund.
TEXTBOOKS- Onsite Courses
Students are required to purchase the resources themselves. Students will be provided information and must have materials by the course start date.
TEXTBOOKS- Virtual/Online Courses
Textbooks are included and will be shipped to your mailing address on submitted registration form
CLASS SIZE AND SCHEDULES- Onsite Course
Shops and classes are designed so that each student has access to the tools and equipment necessary to acquire the skills taught in the course. All classes and shops are planned with a student-teacher ratio that provides an optimum learning situation. The school reserves the right to cancel any course with insufficient enrollment. Every attempt will be made to maintain the class schedules as printed. In order to accommodate the greatest number of students possible, some changes in campus locations or days may be necessary.
EMERGENCY SCHOOL CLOSING
In the event of inclement weather or emergency situations, school closing announcements will be posted on the District website accordingly. Please visit HCSTonline.org. Evening ONSITE classes are ALWAYS CANCELLED when Hudson County School of Technology school district is closed.
CONDUCT
Smoking is prohibited in all buildings, sites, and campuses of the Hudson County Schools of Technology. The use of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited on school property. Students are expected to adhere to adequate code of conduct at all times. Administrators reserve the right to take action regarding the same accordingly.
PARKING
On campus Parking is available in designated areas. Please be mindful to secure your car as the District is not responsible for theft or damage to the vehicle while on school property. Decals available upon request.
