Welcome to the Cosmetology program at the Hudson County School of Technology! We are excited to offer an adult continuing education course designed for those interested in pursuing a career in cosmetology. Begin your education and gain theoretical and practical hands-on training in all aspects of cosmetology, including hairdressing, barbering, design, cutting, coloring, fashion trends, makeup, manicuring, pedicuring, and skincare techniques.
Our curriculum covers a wide range of skills in line with the N.J. State Board of Cosmetology’s standards. Upon completing 1,000 hours of classroom instruction, students will be eligible to take the State Board Cosmetology exam and apply for licensure.
Students are required to pay the exam fee upfront, but Hudson Tech will reimburse one test fee. To qualify for reimbursement, students must provide proof of payment.
