Electricity Advanced - Level 3 is a 150 hour course. These academic course hours partially meet and can be applied towards the required hours for an Electricity Apprenticeship in New Jersey. Applicants must complete Level 1 and Level 2 before registering for Level 3.

 

This course provides in-depth instruction in commercial electrical wiring, focusing on the proper installation and routing of aluminum and PVC conduit systems. Students will develop proficiency in handling Metal-Clad (MC) cable and installing metal electrical boxes on both wood and metal framing structures. The curriculum includes detailed training on the installation, testing, and maintenance of panel boards, fire alarm systems, smoke detectors, and emergency exit signage to ensure compliance with safety standards. Emphasis will also be placed on a thorough understanding and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC) as it pertains to commercial electrical installations, promoting adherence to regulatory requirements and best industry practices.
