Electricity Basics Level I – 180 Hours – 10 Month Program – Course #118154.412 – Start date 9/10/24

This course will introduce the student to the basic hand and power tools used on the job every day as well as tool safety and electrical safety procedures. Series and parallel circuits, circuit calculations, electrical materials such as boxes, wire and cable, panels, and circuit breakers will be handled and identified.

Students will also gain important knowledge of basic residential circuits, hands-on experience with basic wiring and blueprint reading, and multimeter troubleshooting circuits. Capacitance, inductance, reactance, impedance as well as magnetism, electromagnetism, transformers, and their application to motors and generators will be discussed. The application of The National Electrical Code requirement to everyday installations will be covered.

Textbook not included.  Instructor testing.
