Ready to roll up your sleeves and cook like a pro?  Learn fundamental skills for a lifetime of great cooking in these hands-on community classes led by a professional chef in a state-of-the-art kitchen.  Suited for any cooking experience level, you will work side-by-side with other students and receive step-by-step instructions to learn culinary secrets and create delicious dishes from scratch. Put on an apron, come hungry, and leave with confidence and recipes to replicate at future home meals.

Sushi Night:  Whether you're a complete novice or an amateur home cook looking to refine your culinary skills, "Sushi Sensations" promises a fun and educational journey that will leave you with the ability to create restaurant-quality sushi in the comfort of your kitchen. Join us and discover the joy of making sushi as you connect with fellow food enthusiasts in a vibrant and supportive community setting. Get ready to roll, slice, and savor your way to becoming a sushi aficionado!

Pizza Night -Pizza night will introduce how to properly make pizza dough from scratch. Students will learn the art and structure of shaping the dough.

Comfort Food: Indulge in the heartwarming world of Comfort Food during our upcoming cooking night! Join us as we explore the art of crafting soul-soothing dishes that evoke nostalgia and warmth. Our delightful menu includes Southern-style Cornbread, savory Collard Greens rendered in bacon, perfectly Fried Buttermilk Marinated Chicken, the creamiest Mac and Cheese, and a sweet finale with Peach Cobbler paired with velvety Vanilla Ice Cream. Get ready to savor the flavors of home-cooked goodness and learn the secrets behind these comforting classics.

Steakhouse Night: Bring a fine steakhouse menu to your dining room table! This class will walk you through how to prepare a satisfying steak dinner with all the fixings. Learn how to cook the perfect cut of meat and how to complement it in the tradition of the finest classic steakhouses in America. Includes different cuts of steak, sauces, cream of spinach, garlic mash, caesar salad, and more!

 

For your safety:

  • Wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in and cover your legs
  • Closed-toe shoes are mandatory
  • Long hair should be pulled back. Hats, bandanas, or other head coverings are encouraged.
  • Alert staff if you have any allergies. HCST is a nut-free facility but participants with allergies to shellfish, soy, gluten, dairy, etc. should check with their doctor before starting. If you do have allergies, you are required to bring your Epi-Pen.
