CDA Child Development Associate – Course #114132.1 – 1/9/24-4/30/24

In this course, students will work on their coursework and portfolios for the CDA process. The following areas will be reviewed:

-Planning a safe and healthy learning environment
-Advancing children’s physical and intellectual development
-Supporting children’s social and emotional development
-Building productive relationships with families
-Managing an effective program operation
-Maintaining a commitment to professionalism
-Observing and recording children’s behavior
-Understanding the principles of child development and learning

Students will have some independent work that will help reflect the amount of time to complete the 120 hrs. Students may have some observation hours to fully understand how a preschool classroom functions. If students are already working in a daycare, they can log in those hours as well.
