Wastewater Collection System Operation & Maintenance - 45 Hours
This course will cover the topics of hydraulics, construction of collection systems, maintenance and repair of pipelines, operation, and maintenance of pumps, pump curves, flow metering, confined space entry, traffic and workplace safety, and NJDEP regulations.
Course Objective
The objective of this course is to provide an individual with the knowledge and skills necessary to adequately prepare for the NJDEP C-2 Collection System Operator License Exam. While the successful completion of this course will satisfy the NJDEP Training requirements to sit for a C-2 License, all applicants for the exam must also satisfy the minimum experience requirements set forth in NJAC 7:10A.
Class Room Rules of Conduct
Students must comply with all aspects of the Hudson County Schools of Technology’s Code of Student Conduct. Attendance will be taken at the beginning of every class. No more than two absences over the 15-week course will be allowed.
